Common questions
Why won’t my file convert?
Check the supported formats and limits. Renaming a file’s extension doesn’t change its format. Corrupt files, animations, multi-page TIFFs, and unsupported video features are rejected. Try a smaller file or an updated browser.
The converter is taking a while. What should I do?
The additional image and video tools download an approximately 32 MB engine on first use. Keep the tab open and close other busy tabs. Video speed depends on your device. You can cancel, choose a smaller clip, and retry. A timed-out job stops instead of running indefinitely.
Where is my download?
After conversion, click the result’s Download button and check your browser’s Downloads list. For a batch, Download all prepares a ZIP; then choose Save ZIP. A download click starts the browser’s download process, but does not confirm it was saved. Save results before leaving or reloading the page.
Why is the result larger or different?
Formats use different compression. PNG is lossless and can be larger than JPG. Video is re-encoded and may also grow. Metadata is removed; color can differ. JPG, BMP, and GIF cannot retain the same transparency as PNG. GIF is limited to 256 colors. Converting to a lossless format cannot restore missing detail.
Can I convert a large video or animated image?
Video tools currently accept one clip up to 50 MB, 60 seconds, and 1080p input; output fits 1280 × 720 at 30 fps. Animated image conversion is not available. Files over the limits are rejected rather than trimmed or flattened.
Will cancelling change my original file?
No. The converter creates a new output and leaves your original unchanged. Cancel stops the current job. Successful batch results remain available while other files can be retried.
I see a message asking me to reload
A site update may have replaced the code used by an older open tab. Download any completed results first, then reload and select your file again. Your originals remain on your device.
Can I use the site without analytics?
Yes. Choose No thanks in the analytics prompt, or use Analytics settings in the footer. Tracking is optional and does not unlock or limit any converter.
