Files and conversion results

Selected files are read and processed in your browser. Convert4Freee does not upload them to a conversion server or use a remote fallback. Your original files are unchanged. Inputs and generated results are kept in the tab’s memory while you work.

Clearing a selection, replacing results, or leaving or reloading the page releases the associated workspace data. A cancelled compatibility conversion can finish native cleanup in the background. Files you download remain on your device until you delete them. We do not have server copies of your converted files to retrieve or delete.

Source metadata is not copied into outputs. Image orientation can be applied to pixels, and colors can change. See format limitations before converting.

Website delivery

Hostinger serves the website and conversion code. Loading the site sends ordinary web requests, including your IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to the hosting infrastructure. These requests do not include the file you select for conversion. Hosting providers may maintain operational and security logs under their own policies.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose Allow analytics. It can use cookies and receives technical information about visits, such as page location, browser/device information, and connection data.

Our custom events record conversion success, failure, cancellation, download initiation, ZIP failure, and application errors. The only custom details are supported source/output format labels. We do not attach filenames, file contents, thumbnails, exact sizes, free-text errors, or stack traces. We strip query strings and fragments from the configured page URL and limit referrer information to its origin.

A download event means you clicked Download; it does not establish that a file was saved. Analytics may be unavailable or blocked, so its counts are not a complete record of activity.

Use Analytics settings in the footer to change your choice. Declining stops future analytics collection by this site; it does not erase information previously sent to Google or automatically remove existing Google cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser. Google’s privacy policy explains its processing.

Preferences on your device

We use local storage for your theme and analytics choice. There is no account or saved conversion history. Clearing site data removes these preferences. If browser storage is unavailable, you may be asked again.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments through our email provider. Include only what is needed to investigate, and avoid sending private files. Email is separate from the local converter.
