A product photo can look fine on a white page even when the area around it is transparent. JPG needs a color for every pixel. Start with the original PNG so you can choose that color before the image is compressed.
Open the PNG to JPG converterStep by step
Choose your PNG
Open the PNG to JPG converter and choose your image. For a set of product photos, select up to 10 PNGs. The batch accepts up to 10 MB per image and 40 MB in total.
Set the background and quality
In Output settings, keep Convert to set to JPG. Under Transparent areas, choose White background. Start with the default quality of 85%. Leave Resize to fit off if the upload form accepts the original dimensions.
Convert and inspect the edges
Select Convert all, then download the JPG. Open it at full size. Look closely at hair, lettering, shadows and curved edges, where a change in background color or compression is easiest to see.
Why is the JPG still large, or the background still dark?
A small PNG logo with a few flat colors can already be smaller than a JPG. If you must meet a byte limit, try reducing the dimensions first, then lower quality and inspect the lettering again. If a dark border survives even at high quality, it may already be painted into the source. The background control only changes transparent or partly transparent pixels.
